Manhattan – The Joy Of Mixology

The recipe for this Manhattan was from The Joy Of Mixology By Gary Regan. It was also my first time trying a recipe from this book plus the first time i’ve tried a Manhattan. I definitely wasn’t disappointed. 

There are only 3 ingredients (4 if you count the lemon peel) in the drink, so quality is important. Not to say I went all out but the final result worked out well. All there is is Rye, Vermouth and some Angostura Bitters. Shaken together into a chilled glass with an expressed lemon peel. It’s always surprising how much of a difference that lemon peel makes. 

I will definitely be making this one again.
